HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Wherever you live affects your life and character. When Nigerians get to the UK, the lifestyle rubs off on them, even from the immigration point, without any instructions. Orderliness is the unspoken word they hear and obey. When you move into an environment, you hear the unspoken words of their behaviour, and you fall in line.

God's space is not just love; GOD IS LOVE. When you live in love, you will naturally hear the language of love in your heart, even without speaking. God will not have to speak all the time, as you will naturally hear love because you live in love. What is love?

Good question. The word LOVE has been so much abused that it has lost its meaning. When people hear love, it is effortlessly linked with romance. But there is romantic love called EROS, brotherly love called FILIAL, and there is God's love, which is called AGAPE love.

Agape love is God's love, which went all the way to give His only begotten Son, Jesus, to save whoever believes in Him from eternal destruction. We all know the love we have towards our family members. This love naturally speaks without a word when family members meet, even when they have never known or met each other before. The world calls it ‘blood is thicker than water’.

We all likewise know romantic love. Once of age, romantic love, Eros, comes upon us for whoever triggers the chemistry in us. It should be for the opposite sex, but the Fall has made it happen between people of the same sex. It is the reproductive love that makes mankind multiply and populate the earth.

The third love is Agape, which is the ultimate love, without which the other two types of love are nothing. Filial and Eros don't last where Agape is absent. It is Agape that keeps Filial and Eros going when they fail. So, if you feel Eros towards the opposite sex and it is not mixed with Agape, you have nothing. Likewise, if you have Filial for your closest relation and it is not mixed with Agape, you have nothing because it fails when the brother stops being useful to you.

The world is in chaos, fighting wars, making weapons of war and destruction, enslaving others, acquiring wealth meant for all that they do not need, rejoicing while they see others suffer, children killing parents and vice versa, and lovers killing and harming themselves because Filial and Eros have no Agape content.

I leave you to think about this today, and tomorrow, we shall look at Agape, God's own LOVE.

Dear Lord, YOU ARE LOVE. Help me to understand Your love and make it the habitation of my soul, in the name of Jesus.
