Living When Your Faith Is Being Tried

May 22.    1 Kings ch 13-14; John 6:49-71

LIVING WHEN YOUR FAITH IS BEING TRIED.

Through our faith, the mighty power of God constantly guards us until our full salvation is ready to be revealed in the last time. May the thought of this cause you to jump for joy, even though lately you’ve had to put up with the grief of many trials. But these only reveal the sterling core of your faith, which is far more valuable than gold that perishes, for even gold is refined by fire. Your authentic faith will result in even more praise, glory, and honor when Jesus the Anointed One is revealed. ‭1 Peter 1:5-7 TPT‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Unless scriptures or any ideology for that matter is practicable in every day life, it is useless for anything tangible. I have faced the trial of my faith in God on all fronts and I am still standing firm in that faith. I will share how I overcome using our anchor scripture for today.

I always affirm to myself as often as I can and to whoever cares to listen that God exists and He will do whatever He says He will do in His word in His own time.

Holding on to whatever I see Him say He will do in His word, I locate my expectations from Him. For example, He said in ‭Isaiah 65:24 that ‘before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.’  I see and expect God to answer my prayers as I call on Him. For a long time I didn't experience this but I saw it in my mind and rejoiced in the feeling of calling on God and He answering immediately that I will be experiencing at the fullness of time.

At first, when the promise had not become my experienced reality, I was disappointed, grieved and anxious. A lot of thoughts would come into my mind that could make me doubt His love for me and His ability to do what He promises but I refused to entertain them and asked that God should sustain me by His power until the manifestations of my expectations in Him becomes my experienced reality.

I keep appreciating my faith in God. I compare it to those who have money and other worldly things to answer for them. I saw that my faith is of more worth than any such thing because it is eternal and is present with me everywhere unlike gold and silver that are localised. And so I choose to hold on in faith and wait patiently for God for my prayers to manifest.

The result of this waiting patiently has made me to know and understand God better resulting in peace of mind and confidence in Him no matter what life throws my way. Now, I have the assurance that God hears and answers me as I call and I have understood the peace and assurance as God’s voice saying ‘it is done.’

I pray that you will experience and know the voice of God as you call on Him and He answers you at all times in Jesus name.
