Faith That Gets Jesus' Attention

FAITH THAT GETS JESUS’ ATTENTION

📖

Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him here.” So they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you.” Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. And answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road. Mark 10:46-52 NASB1995

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I put the whole story so you can feel and understand calling the name of Jesus as prayer. Crowds followed Jesus for various reasons. Most of them were onlookers to see the various miracles of Jesus however, there was a blind man seated on the same spot he was used to being. He heard another noise and asked someone what was the cause of the noise then. He was told Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. He began to shout the name of Jesus asking Him for mercy. He must have shouted so much that his voice not only disturbed the crowd but caught the attention of Jesus. That is exactly what the calling of the name of Jesus does. Faith that catches the attention of Jesus is a talking faith.

🤔

All the things wanting to catch your attention, like sleep, weariness, body pains or the outward feelings of trouble are the inner crowd shouting out loud within you. They shout a lot that your faith that Jesus could solve your problem will be challenged.  Your persistence in calling His name until you catch His attention is the key to your miracle. You will know when you do as all distractions will disappear and peace enters your heart.  You will spontaneously prostrate or begin to worship and thank Jesus. The result will be a peace that you can not explain that tells you that your prayer is answered.

🤔

Sometimes, you hear vivid instructions as to what you are to do and some other times it is just the peace that tells you it is done. To reach this point is work that exhausts such that you are both inwardly and physically tired.  When you regain strength from praying, you will just keep thanking God. Outside happenings and thoughts from your intellectual knowledge or past experiences will come up to disturb your peace from time to time before your answer manifests, just tell yourself and the thoughts that God who has answered your prayer is faithful and will do what He has promised. Give God thanks.

🛐

I pray that the name of Jesus will calm the storms of your life and grant you peace even when the storm still appears to be raging in the name of Jesus.
