BE STILL

February 24.  Numbers ch 3; Mark 6:1-23

📖

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We are taught to sit still as children but today looking back at my childhood days, I thank God for being physically very active at the same time being still and seeing God. I did not understand then but I have found myself thanking God for those days. We pulled taunts that were considered abominations of our days like going to eat foods offered to idols at cross roads; taunting idol worshippers while they were high on the spirit of their idols without thinking and nothing happened to any of us. They were taunts we enjoyed pulling as children and we were saved. Eventually, idol worshipers stopped using our area as their route to wherever they were going.

🤔

This gave me an insight into being still. Another way to say it is stop worrying and know that I am God and not physically stay still. When faced with challenges, we think a lot. We are taught and encouraged to think and worry. We wish to find the solutions by our power and might whereas God says “”. An adult will sit still but have his mind and head pacing around from one thought to another. Without doing any physical work, he is physically tired and exhausted from thinking and worrying about finding solutions. If we can know how to stop thinking and worrying, we shall get a lot done for then we shall be in sync with God and have divine insight.
