And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words. Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. ‭1 Corinthians 2:13-14 TPT‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I have often wondered why spiritual things have no meaning to many people and me as well for a long time. Until a person understands that there are two sides to life and that the two have their realities, he will not appreciate spiritual things accurately or call them foolishness outrightly.

You see, we have two ways to reason. One is through our brain which only reasons with the five physical senses. Anything that does not add up like 2+2=4 has no meaning. Anything that does not follow the law of science has no meaning or is false. This kind of person is called the carnal or natural man.

The second way to reason is the heart or spirit. Ideas drop into your chest. I experience that when ideas drop into my chest, it drops in a vivid way with leads to carry it out which my brain does not agree with most of the time. Because such ideas have no root in science or natural way of doing things, I used to reject them as not feasible. A person who listens to his heart or spirit is a spiritual man and understands the things of the spirit.

Just as the brain has to be trained, the spirit of man needs training too. We train the spirit by the words of the spirit just as we do the brain by the words of nature. Abandoning spiritual instructions means abandoning the major guide to the spiritual side of life. I once abandoned bible reading for a long time but when my brain power could move me no further, I returned to bible reading and spiritual development reluctantly. With years of investment in spiritual training, I am a better person at handling life.

I leave you today to work on your spiritual life especially if you are at the point when you don't understand how life is treating you.
