SET YOURSELF FREE

Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Isaiah 5:13 KJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we started on the theme of getting your breakthrough. Today we continue by looking at the source of bondage and stagnation that leads one to limitations.

It is not the body that is in bondage unless someone physically ties you up but your mind (thought) is. We all came to the world free, our thoughts were free to move to anywhere or anything. Then we are told a lot of things by our parents, culture, teachers, society etc. and limitations begin to set in. Once your thought goes in some direction that is contrary to what you have been taught, its tentacles recede like the tentacles of the snail. Then you begin to build a wall around yourself.

As you grow, religion takes over. You are taught about God and given a lot of doctrines that limit you. When the doctrine of prosperity came for example, most people took it in and became slaves to ministers in religious organisations. Jesus came to teach us that God is not religion but our Father who wants us to give us eternal life not money or any material thing as the essence of life. He taught us the kingdom of God and how to seek that kingdom and all our needs shall be added. He also said ‘and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’  John 8:32 KJV Knowledge of the truth makes a person free. If I can hide or distort the truth from you, you cannot grow in that direction. If you feel you are in captivity in any area of your life, check the truth you know and how you know it. If it is not allowing you to grow, dump that truth and set your thinking right. I leave you today with this thought and tomorrow we shall continue on the knowledge that you are to have to be free and have your breakthrough.

I pray that the Lord Jesus will reveal himself to you and like the apostle Paul, you will be able to cast all things aside for the knowledge of Christ and His power of resurrection in the name of Jesus.
