Walking On Water

August 6.    Psalms ch 8-12; Romans 2

WALKING ON THE WATER

📖

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good courage; it is I. Do not be afraid.” Then Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, bid me to come to You upon the waters.” And He said, “Come.” And after climbing down from the ship, Peter walked upon the waters to go to Jesus. But when he saw how strong the wind was, he became afraid; and as he was beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:27-31 AFV

Happy Day To You: I look at life and I find that we have all had to walk on water at various times. The person that asks you to come makes the difference. I will tell you how we have walked on the water before.

🤔

In my part of the world where job opportunities are filled by who you know as an applicant or the influence you can pull not necessarily by your merit, every applicant who doesn't know anybody of influence and still applies is walking on water. There was a lady who applied for a job and  heard from an insider that the MD’s wife's cousin was applying as well. Everybody sort of knew that the job was already decided. But God told her that the position was for she so was not just sitting in the boat like other applicants but she put in her best preparing for the interview and praying knowing Christ had called her to walk on the water of uncertainty or fear to her the position.

🤔

She prepared, and went for the interview. Telling whoever asked her that she would get the job. Two days before the interview, the MD’s candidate got a call from an embassy to show up on the day of the interview. She could not attend the job interview and the position was decided by merit. She performed best and was appointed.

🤔

If Jesus asks you to walk on water, fix your gaze on Jesus and the destination and you will not sink. Peter shifted his gaze and he started sinking. I have had various experiences of walking on water, looking at the storm and drowning, and losing my faith and hope of getting to the destination but Christ was faithful He held me up. Are you walking on the water today and the wave of negativity is heavy? Call to Jesus and keep your gaze on your destination. Jesus who is with you will hold you and lift you to safety.

🛐

I pray that you will be more conscious of the presence of the Lord Jesus with you in any situation than all the negatives so you can reach your destination in the name of Jesus.
