HAPPY DAY TO YOU: A friend of mine was very worried about the trend of politics in Nigeria. Many Christians are as concerned as she is about the choice of candidates for the forthcoming elections. I was praying about it and the scripture we are looking at today came to my mind. This is the first part of the discussion. We shall consider the second part tomorrow which talks about the condition of Judah then which is exactly our condition now in the country if not all over the world.

The bible teaches that there are battles that we are not to fight as Christians for they are the Lord's battle. At such battles, we are to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. However, there are ways we are to live and choices we are to make for God to be with us and take up our battles.

The basic way to live is to live close to God. When you live close to Him, He is close to you. Each Christian is to seek the kingdom of God first and every other thing will be added to one. In seeking the kingdom of God, He will reveal His mind to you. Whoever seeks God does so not by force or manipulation but in peace and he finds God by REVELATION.

As a christian, how close are you to Christ? Do you read your Bible? I have found that it is JESUS CHRIST that people attack not God. It is Calling Jesus Christ the Son of God who came as flesh to restore us back to God as His children and He our Father that is offensive to those who resist christianity. It is not a war affair but a LOVE affair. For love and peace to reign in life, man must seek and live with God and God will live with him. Tomorrow, we’ll look at life now all over the world and see that everyone and everywhere needs Christ now for peace to reign.

I pray that Christians and lovers of God will know how to stand still for God to fight their battles in the name of Jesus.
