LEARN TO LOOK UP

“There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among the nations, bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the surging of the waves. Men will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”” Luke 21:25-28 BSB

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Jesus warned that man knows how to read the signs on the sky to know what the weather will be like but we refuse to read the signs of the times. Matthew 16:2-3. When we read the signs of the sky, we prepare for what the day has in stock weather rain or sunshine. Now that we are watching for the signs of the times, we need to know how to prepare for the times we are looking forward to now. It is the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The signs are all happening.

We listed them yesterday and listed what Jesus said today as recorded by Luke. Jesus told us what to do when the times are getting tough. We are to LOOK UP because our redemption is drawing near. One preparation we need to practice is LOOKING UP. Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is within us, we are called the temple of the Holy Spirit who lives in us yet we are to look up. This gives the omnipresence nature of God. Just as one can look to God within through meditation, you must learn and master looking up to God who sees everything down on earth from His throne above.

When things get impossible because of rules that don't go with your belief, you must know how to look up. Keep practicing looking up to God when you are in various situations instead of looking up or down to people or other things. Have a living relationship with Jesus. Talk to Him and listen to Him give you answers. Learn to reason with Him and develop a friendship with Jesus. Remember He calls you His friend and not servants. John 15:15. Understand His voice so you can say for certain that He said something to you. If you start practicing these things, no season will meet you unprepared.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that you will soon come again. Tune my heart to keep relating with you now so that when the events that will usher your second coming are taking their toll on humanity, I will know how to call on you to instruct me in the name of Jesus.
