LIVING BY THE SPIRIT 2

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we talked about how to walk by the spirit. The summary is that we should base our thoughts and actions on what has been freely given us in the spirit realm as we continue to live and move and have our being in Jesus. When you fix your thoughts on the spirit of God, these are the fruits you enjoy. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬  The words of Jesus are spirit and truth. John 6:63.  As the Holy Spirit inspires you with the word of God, and you walk by the inspiration, you will enjoy  the fruit of the spirit.

If you choose not to walk by the spirit of God, then you choose the lust of the flesh. The works of the flesh are summarized thus “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Whoever walks by these works gratifies the desires or lust of the flesh. The desire of the flesh leads to death not just of the person but everything he does. All the negative emotions that drive the desires of the flesh produce disease and death eventually.

I pray that God will give you the grace and patience to walk by the spirit in Jesus name.
