TIME AND CHANCE

I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong, and neither is bread to the wise nor riches to those of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of ability; but time and chance overtake them all. [Ps 33:16-19; Rom 9:16]  ‭Ecclesiastes 9:11 AMP‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: To appreciate the place of mercy, we need to see those things that can affect the outcome of things in our lives so that we shall appreciate the place of the mercy of God. I watched a wrestling match with my niece recently. The match was between a seasoned wrestler and a new entrant to the game. Everyone expected the match to end within three minutes of the start but it went on for about ten minutes with the champion stealing the show. Around ten minutes into the match, the champion was about to give the final move of landing with his shoulder on the flat lying losing opponent but unfortunately, he landed his shoulder on the mat missing the weak lying man and his ball socket shifted making him groan in pain. He beckoned to the referee to end the match. The belt went to the new and inexperienced man.

You see, time and chance  overtook the two of them.  That game was not won by the more experienced and better performer man but to the weaker one.

Probably, you have experienced time and chance happening in your life before. People will say you are lucky. It is not luck but God orchestrating events so that you will acknowledge His supremacy. Time and chance are in the power of God and He brings them to people at His discretion and in His mercy. All things happen according to His mercy and decision. Tomorrow, we shall see who God boldly and openly proclaimed Himself to be so we can appreciate His mercy in all that we do and outcome of events in our lives.

I pray that you will receive mercy and favor in all that you do today in Jesus name. Amen.
