ANXIETY PREVENTION 2

July 11. Nehemiah ch 4-6; Acts 13:34-56

Those who trust the Lord are like Mount Zion, which sits unmoved forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, the Lord surrounds his people now and forever. Psalms 125:1-2 NCV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We said yesterday that trust is determined by how much of our object of trust that we know. It is not head or intellectual knowledge but experiential knowledge. It is what you have experienced from a close relationship with a person that makes you trust him or not.

HOW DO YOU EXPERIENCE GOD?

God is experienced through His word. First you must believe that He exists even though you can't see Him with your five senses. He is a spiritual reality or personality. You relate with Him through the unseen and untouchable part of you. You relate with Him through your heart or thought or mind. You get to know God's nature, likes and dislikes through His revealed word. You also know His abilities and who He is through His creation. It is interesting to study the nature of God by yourself through reading the whole bible maybe once a year and looking at nature.

Relate with God in your mind as you relate with a friend or parent or sibling etc. Relate with Him as a personality not a philosophy or energy or universal intelligence or ether or other names that science calls Him. All these names take feelings and life out of God. He not only has life in Him He is Life itself. As you begin to see Him with your mind's eye, relate with Him as such in your mind. I leave you today to practice observing what goes on in your mind so you will be conscious and familiar with your inner being.

I pray that God will make you aware of your inner man with which you relate with the unseen realm in the name of Jesus.
