July 13.  Nehemiah ch 8-9; Acts 15:1-18

ETERNITY HIS FOCUS

This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:39-40 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I do wonder why God doesn't answer prayers the way and time that man wants it most of the time. It is a good practice to talk with God as friend to friend and watch Him talk back to your soul. It builds one’s faith in God and gives understanding and peace.

The day God answered the question, I learnt a lesson in relating with fellow humans as well. Each person's focus determines how he responds to requests and issues in each relationship and as per time. God's focus is that we should live with Him in eternity. He gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ so that those who believe in Him may not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Whatever will  take eternity with Him away from anyone who believes, He will not grant such request either as you want it or in your timeline. I was able to understand because I look for my child’s safety before I give him anything. Jesus declared His mission thus: This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:39-40 NKJV.

He told me that that is His will at all times that He would not lose us eternally. When you ask and you listen to Him, He will talk to you so that you will have His peace no matter the condition you find yourself. Now that you know God's focus, it will be easier for you to accept His will and timing as He will always safeguard your eternity with Him.

My dear Father and God, I thank You that You do not want to lose me eternally and You are so mindful of that. Help me to love You too deeply so that I will give up anything that will separate me from You in the name of JESUS.
