MAKE GOOD USE OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY

So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. Ephesians 5:15-16 GNT

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Opportunities to do good abound around us but most of the time we allow them to slip away.  Usually when we hear the word opportunity, our minds go to opportunity to make money. While money making is good if it is through a righteous means but the opportunity Jesus wants us to make good use of are opportunities to do good. Jesus went about doing good, healing the sick, feeding the poor, and preaching the good news of the kingdom of God. He wants us to do likewise as His disciples. You are to feed the poor, heal the sick through your prayers and helping with medication as you are able, influencing those in power to look after the welfare of the poor, refusing to join in or aid corruption and most importantly spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and the Love of God. If we all can do this, the evil in our society will reduce and the suffering of people will be minimised.

The days are truly evil with all the bad things happening and one never knows what can happen and when the Lord Jesus will appear to take His own home with Him. Look into your life today and see how you have been making use of the various opportunities you have to do good. Try and change reaching out wherever you find opportunity for a good work that is within your power and assist.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will give us the enablement to do good wherever we are and whenever the opportunity arises in the name of Jesus.
