THE GREATEST INTERCESSOR

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27 BSB

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: There are many challenges in the Christian walk but the one challenge that has endured from the time of Jesus is the challenge of PRAYER. The Apostles of Jesus had to ask Him to teach them to pray. Luke 11:1. This challenge is still the same today. Jesus taught them to pray thus ‘Our Father…’

 Jesus knew we would still have the challenge today so He asked the Father to send the Holy Spirit to be our helper. In His work as helper, He helps our infirmities by interceding for us according to the will of the Father. There are so many situations that we do not know what to pray for. We pray according to our desires and emotions for temporal things. God's will for us is for our eternal benefits. When these two don't agree, prayer is unanswered and it is frustrating. However, the Holy Spirit who knows the will of the Father will plead for you with the Father and comfort you over the request. Whenever I have tough situations that are even beyond my comprehension, I call on the Holy Spirit by repeating the phrase ‘Holy Spirit, pray for me’ until the phrase enters my heart clearing all worries and emotions out. As I continue, either a word drops in my heart that I can hold on to and pray or do or a deep peace and joy enter my heart. I have found the Holy Spirit to be my most effective intercessor with the Father. Become conscious of the Holy Spirit with you and relate with Him as a friend. Tomorrow, we will see another duty of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Thank You Jesus for asking the Father to send the Holy Spirit to be with us. Help me to make myself familiar with Him so that I may enjoy the comfort He gives and not grieve Him.
