RECIPE FOR PEACE AT TIMES LIKE THIS 2

August 8. Psalms ch 18-21; Romans 3:15-31

For a long time Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without law, but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. And at that time there was no peace to the one traveling in or out because there was a great panic on all those who dwelt in the land. 2 Chronicles 15:3-5 MEV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: If you take a close look into life over the whole world, you will notice that the world has been without the true God. The general god all the world over is money followed by technology and power. What motivates most people is money and not the fear of God nor love of humanity. People kill fellow humans to get money, embezzlement of magnitudes that cannot be comprehended and many other sinful practices without the fear of God.

Teaching priests and pastors that should teach the knowledge of the true God teach the knowledge of money twisting the Law of God for financial gains. Religious assemblies that should produce lights for the world are as dark if not darker than the world they are supposed to enlighten. Any teaching priest that tells the truth is called and treated as a fool. Those that try to obey the laws of God are called fools as well.

As a result, we are afraid to walk on our streets. There is no peace to the one travelling in and out. Kidnappings, gun shots, knife crimes, rape and all sorts of such news fill the news media because God has left us to the consequences of our actions. What is the solution?

Judah went back to the true God in their trouble. They decided to seek Him and He was found by them. We too should do likewise. Each one of us has the Holy Spirit of God to teach us if we would return to Him and ask Him to teach us His ways. Rather than depend on false teachings that offer no peace to the hearers, we should go to God individually to ask for His guidance. When you go to worship houses, be like the Berean Christians who went home to search the scriptures for the truth of what they heard in the church. Acts 17:10-11. Then live as you understand God's word. This way, God will look on us and the earth will have peace.

I pray that we all will leave our ungodly ways and seek the true God following His Law in the name of Jesus.
