CALL TO ME

“‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’”

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: This is a simple instruction from God that I have found to be true and real in my own simple way and in what I do. No matter who a person is or what he wants to inquire about, if he calls to God, who is the Maker of all things, he will be answered. I ask, “How do I call to God?” Is it a casual, once-in-a-while call, or how?

The call that gets answered is the purposeful, persistent call that comes from the soul. Two men in the Old Testament made this kind of call: Joseph and Daniel. In the case of Joseph, it was less complex than with Daniel. Both of them were to interpret the kings’ dreams. With Joseph, the king narrated the dream and wanted the interpretation, while with Daniel, the king wanted Daniel to tell him the dream and the interpretation. The dreams troubled the hearts of both kings, and they needed understanding for their souls to rest. Joseph and Daniel called to God in their situations, and He answered them. The king in Joseph’s case promised a reward for whoever could interpret the dream, but death in the case of Daniel if the seers and wise men in his kingdom could not tell the dream and interpret it.

Do you notice that whoever you are, when you get pinned to the wall, you call to God for your preservation? Even atheists call to God in a time of severe turbulence. If you know that you will call to God when your life is at stake, why don’t you develop a relationship with Him when things are easy? Today, if you are reading this, you are getting an invitation to come near to God. Whether for pleasure or for deliverance from your fears, God is waiting for you to reach out to Him with the whole of your heart. Call to Him where you are right now and ask Him to forgive the time you have drawn away from Him and take you as His child. He will gladly draw closer to you than you expect.

Dear Lord, I need You more than I realise. I come to You now to cleanse me and draw me to Yourself. Teach me how to relate to You and guide me in my life journey, in the name of Jesus.
