“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”

HAPPY DAY AND MONTH OF OCTOBER TO YOU: The more time you spend in the word of God, the more understanding you get of how to apply it to different situations at different times. In my part of the world, where medical care is out of the reach of the common man, we need to know how to use the word of God to make our lives better. I came across the scripture above many years ago, but then my understanding was limited to being like God in my inward being. However, now, when maintaining sound health is unattainable for the masses, we need to look into God's way of doing what we cannot achieve with money. So, I have been praying for the Holy Spirit to teach me how to have health and healing from the word of God.

The understanding came to me that we normally get transformed into whatever we set our gaze on. If you set your gaze on healing scriptures, you will maintain good health. It is not the random gaze we put on scripture, but a determined, purposeful gaze on what we want our lives transformed into. Let us take health and healing. I have these words of God I gaze on each time:

1. I serve the Lord my God, and He blesses my bread and my water and takes disease out of me. Exodus 23:25
2. Christ bore my sins on His body, and by His stripes I am healed. 1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5.
3. God sent His word and healed my diseases and delivered me from all my destruction. Psalm 107:20
4. God feeds my mouth with good things and renews my youth as the eagles. Psalm 103:5.
5. In Christ I live and move and have my being, and there is no disease in Him. Acts 17:28

I keep my gaze on these scriptures, and I find that I am transformed to the image of health and well-being. Remember that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. I want you to form your picture of health and well-being and keep your focus on it consistently, then see what happens.

Dear God and Father, I need understanding of Your word to enhance my life so that I may glory in You. Answer me, Lord, in the name of Jesus.
