MY DUAL CITIZENSHIP

“For this reason it is of faith, in order that it might be by grace, to the end that the promise might be certain to all the seed—not to the one who is of the law only, but also to the one who is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (Exactly as it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”) before God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not as though they are;” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭AFV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I notice that people who have never travelled out to any country talk boldly and sometimes accurately about any country of interest to them. Their accuracy depends on how much they study about the affairs of such a country. They believe the facts that they read or watch on the news media. This sheds a light into our dual citizenship or at least it convinced me of the existence and benefit of my dual citizenship.

You are a citizen of earth and of heaven or hell. We know about the earth as science and arts have studied everything that has to do with the earth. Heaven and Hell however are spiritual realms that science can not measure but only understood and experienced by faith. In simple terms, I define faith as the absolute and unshaken conviction that what I do not see exists and is real.  I learn about it through what I hear or read. I have such a strong conviction of it that it directs my life. This conviction makes me endure in expectation of its manifestation. This is faith.

Of what use is this faith to my every day living? All things are provided for me in the spiritual realm by God. Ephesians 1:3. Your citizenship of which part of the spiritual realm you belong depends on how you enter. You can enter through Jesus Christ by believing in His life, death and resurrection to pay the debt for your sins to return to God the Father. Or you can enter by any other means which does not accept the  death of Jesus and fatherhood of God but deceives people to call God by any name that suits their imagination. Both ways have consequences. We shall continue with this tomorrow because of space. Think about this today and decide where you want to be in the spiritual realm.

Dear Father, I ask that every person reading this will have hearts that are open to the good news of Jesus as your Son and our Saviour in Jesus name.
