YOUR RESPONSE ACTIVATES THE FRIENDSHIP

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” ‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I went to the bank to get a new ATM card and the officer gave it to me saying unless I activate it at their ATM machine it would not work. When I was thinking of friendship with God, the scripture above and this experience came to my mind.

You see, the money in your account is yours and you can collect it with your card anytime likewise the friendship of Jesus. However, you have to activate your card to have access to your money. God’s love in the fullest is yours anytime. But you have to activate it by drawing near to God. You can be His friend. He can boast of you as His friend like he did of Moses and Abraham.

How do you draw near to God so He too will draw near to you? It is with your mouth and heart. The first step is to hear that you can be God’s friend which you have done now. The second step is to desire to be His friend. The third step is to say it with your mouth. I am God’s friend’ The final step is to keep saying it until it enters your heart and you believe it and become His friend. Being His friend will flow naturally then.

Once this happens, He changes your nature gradually to His own and changes your mind to be His mind as He draws you to His word. As you read His word, His Holy Spirit transforms you to His image and you live out your friendship with Him.

I pray that as you desire and draw near to Him in your mouth and heart, He will manifest His mind and nature through you in Jesus name.
