KNOW THE GOD YOU WORSHIP

From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 TPT

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Jesus’ encounter with the woman by the pool of Samaria points out the state of many Christians today. We do not know the God that we worship. We perform all sorts of religious rituals with the belief that we are worshipping God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ yet we do not know Him at all. Let us look at the God our Father and see if we mirror Him at all or even carry His DNA.

GOD IS LOVE

Beloved, we should love one another because love is from God; and everyone who loves has been begotten by God, and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God because God is love. I John 4:7-8 AFV. Let us look at what the Bible says about Love and you will see if you mirror love. I like this description of love. Like life, love has no specific definition. This is the description of Love.

*Love is large and incredibly patient. *Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. 

*Love refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. 

*Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance. 

*Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. 

*Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. 

*Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong.

*Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. 

*Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. 

*Love never stops loving.

Check this list and see how your life fits into it. Also check if these attributes can be found in any physical place or ritual. This is why Jesus told the Samaritan woman that they worship God that they do not know. Do you know God?

I pray that the Lord God will fill all hearts with love that we might know Him and be like Him in the name of Jesus.
