HAPPY DAY TO YOU: By each person's standard, he has experienced the days of friendship with God at some point. Things go well with you as you want them to. Job did know that happiness when everything was going well for him. He had joy but did not recognize it. JOY and HAPPINESS are not the same. JOY is given by the presence of God within while HAPPINESS is the result of what the outward condition is. Happiness disappears when we lose all outward worldly possessions while joy stays even when everything outward is lost. Joy gives you the strength to go on with hope no matter what the discomfort of the moment is.

While happiness is controlled by external conditions, joy is controlled by how much of God that you know and have in you. Job knew God but did not recognize joy from happiness. Satan knows happiness and that man would want happiness and do anything to possess and keep it. That is what he used to tempt Adam and Eve in the garden and they fell. That is what Jesus resisted in the wilderness. Hebrews 12:2 gives joy as the secret that made Jesus go on to the cross. When you recognize joy, Satan will have no power over you. All the weapons of warfare stated in Ephesians 6:12-17 are to preserve your joy.

Spiritual warfare as we practice it today is to put an end to physical and visible attacks on us which we cannot win without joy. We can have everything going well and still not be happy when joy is lacking or not recognized. Think about this today and check if you have joy and recognize it.

Dear Lord Jesus, I ask that you give me joy that I may stand and become victorious over any cross and obstacle on my way to becoming who you made me to be in the name of Jesus.
