HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The thought of man is difficult to tame. I look at growing babies who bite their mothers’ nipples and smile when the mother screams. No one teaches a child to lie or steal. We all had to be taught not to do evil. Actions start from thoughts and thoughts are difficult to control since the fall of man so we are given the guidelines of what we should think.

I have found this guideline difficult to follow. After years of trying now, the Holy Spirit guided me to the way to guard my thoughts that has been very effective and given me so much peace no matter what is happening on the outside. It is by filling my mouth with the name of Jesus.

…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Philippians 2:10 BSB At the name of Jesus, every knee in all realms shall bow. So I keep chanting Jesus quietly in my mouth anytime I have nothing actively engaging my mind. You can get some beads and use them as aid to keep you focused. That is what I do. I bought a Catholic rosary and dedicated it to just calling the name of JESUS. The result of doing this continuously for three months has left the name of Jesus permanently on my mind once it is not actively engaged with any other thing. I have also noticed that I am intuitively instructed about what to do on any matters arising. I encourage you to purposely tame your mind so that you can maintain your peace of mind.

Dear Jesus Christ, I notice that my mind runs wild and it is difficult to control. As I put Jesus on my lips and in my mind, please keep thoughts that offend you and mess my life up off my mind in the name of Jesus.
