YOU CAN HAVE PEACE

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.  Isaiah 32:17 KJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we saw that the kingdom of God is righteousness and peace with joy in the Holy Spirit. Everybody wants peace. It is lack of peace that makes us uncomfortable even when we have all the food and drink we can ever desire. Anyone outside the kingdom of God does not know deep inner peace. They are hardly satisfied with what they have no matter how much or how little.

How is the work of righteousness peace? Righteousness is living in ways dictated and guided by the Holy Spirit. If we each live in ways that are according to God’s will with each other, we shall not find only personal peace but corporate peace. We want to live pleasing God to have peace but we cannot do that on our own. We need Jesus Himself. He says without Him, we can do nothing. John 15:5. In Him, we have the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things and reveals whatever Christ wants of us to us and empowers us to do it. Unlike the kingdom of the world where we don't have direct contact with the king or president, we have direct access to Jesus our King. In fact, the more we approach Him the happier and pleased He is.
