HAPPY DAY TO YOU: He is not like the powerful of the world, where a lot of protocols are needed before they can be reached. No security checks, no guards, no high-security doors or barricades.

When I saw our Scripture today, where God says I should come and we reason together, I paused to list my points of discussion. Almost immediately, I read Jesus' invitation to the weary and heavy-laden to come to Him, and He would give them peace. Of course, I had a lot of burdens that no one was willing to join with their own to help me carry.

I chose to honour the invitation and set time aside to say, ‘Jesus, here I come.’ You may ask why I called Jesus and not just God. Jesus is God who came in human flesh; He is the Son of God.

I started pouring out my heart, and after talking for about five minutes, I kept quiet and said, ‘Jesus, you haven't said anything.’ I still did not hear anything, but a peace enveloped me, and my mind was calm. I got up and decided to come again, if only to sustain the peace.

I was going back daily for a week, and then I said, ‘If you won't say something to me, then I am not coming again.’ Then I heard a voice in my heart that said, ‘My Presence is all you need, and I AM with you.’

This was in 1988, and I still remember the experience vividly. His Presence did not change the world for me, but He made me go through the world with His peace and strength.

Are you weary or burdened by the pressures of life? Is the burden you are called to carry heavy and slowly killing you? I was like that. Come and reason with Jesus.

God, whose Presence made the oven cool for the three Hebrew boys (Daniel 3:19–30), will remove the venom of your burden and make it light to bear.

If world leaders could come to Jesus, He would bear the burden of leadership for them and grant them His peace. Check how much peace you have within you and see if you need a dialogue with Jesus, as the world will not change because of you.

Dear Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. Cause our hearts to return to You that we may have peace, in the name of Jesus.
