SOUL VS POSSESSIONS

SOUL VS POSSESSIONS

📖

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mark 8:36-37 BSB

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: One cannot appreciate the depth of this statement of Jesus unless he has an idea of what the soul really is.

The closest experience to appreciating the soul is when you go into a deep sleep. The soul sort of shuts down, so you are not conscious of anything around you for as long as you are asleep. The next experience with the soul is when a person dies. It is the soul that comes out of the body, though we do not see its form. The body decomposes and goes back to dust. This is the destiny of all things except the soul. It returns to God who gave it. The soul does not take any material possessions with it to God. All earthly possessions are vanity.

🤔

Which do you prefer: to have your soul preserved or to have it destroyed and separated from God eternally? This body has an expiration date. No matter how many goods it acquires, they cannot help when it expires. The soul will have to depart from it to go to its eternal home. You choose the eternal home for your soul while you are here. You choose whether you want your soul cleansed and made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ or eternally separated from God by rejecting Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Accept Him today and follow Him as He leads your soul to its eternal home with God in heaven.

🛐

Dear Lord Jesus, I choose to follow You today as the Saviour of my soul. Take me and lead me to my eternal home, where no earthly possession can go, in the name of Jesus.
