THE UNBREAKABLE BOND

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Apostle Paul must have enjoyed the love of God under all circumstances before he came to the conviction that nothing can separate us from the love of God. When God called me from the way of the world to His way, the peace and joy I experienced made me yield to His way of love. His love did not exempt me from the rain and the sun of life, but in all situations, He did not let go of me. Although I wished to walk away from Him at some moments when I felt betrayed by Him, He still did not let go of me. He comforted me, answered my questions, and I was not separated from Him but learnt His nature and became stronger.

The more I enjoyed God's love and its holding power, the more I started learning to love myself and my neighbour as myself. I learnt to be patient with myself, forgive the mistakes of my past, and live in the present according to the grace of God. I learnt to extend the same love to all the people I relate with, and I have peace. The fear of what people could do to me left my heart, and I was free of all fears.

In the past, when I had no love of God in me, it was easy for me to part ways with people or judge them. I was not empathetic and thought only of myself. I could not imagine how my decisions would affect others as long as they were good for me. This made me struggle to outsmart others, and I didn't have the peace of God that remained in all circumstances. It is beneficial and peaceful to love God and live by His commands, and to love yourself and others as you love yourself. Agape love teaches you how to have Filial and Eros in ways that will not leave you disappointed or hurt.

Dear Lord and Father, thanks for loving me. Teach me to love as You love, in the name of Jesus.
