BECAUSE OF HIS MERCY

August 25. Psalms ch 81-85; 1 Corinthians 2;14-31

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We never appreciate the mercy of God until we see when what consumes others happens to us and we are spared. I am inclined to celebrate the mercy of God rather than complaining with lots of things that happen around. Look at this scripture;

For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. Romans 9:15-16 BSB. That you are not struck by disease or death is an act of God’s mercy. That your business succeeds is an act of God's mercy. That all the business tactics that you know works well is an act of God's mercy.

I am deeply touched today meditating on God's mercy today. In my soul, I lie prostrate before the throne of grace. I appreciate the totality of Jesus whose blood speaks mercy on our behalf instead of the blood of Abel that cries from the earth for justice. I love Hebrews 12:24 in this translation. And we have come to Jesus who established a new covenant with his blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat; blood that continues to speak from heaven, “forgiveness,” a better message than Abel’s blood that cries from the earth, “justice.” Hebrews 12:24 TPT

I invite you to join me at the throne of grace to obtain mercy and worship God.

God of mercy and compassion, we worship and adore You. Let Your mercy speak better things concerning us Lord through the blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus.
