THE GLORY OF THE WORLD

September 8. Psalms ch 124-132; 1 Corinthians 14:1-25

Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will fall down and worship me.” Matthew 4:8-9 BSB

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We are all taken up the high mountain from time to time to behold the glory of the world. We call it vision or dream. The mountain is in the heart. You envision a skyscraper, the biggest vehicle that you have seen before, a private jet or two, a factory that will be the biggest in the world, a worship center that will be the biggest in the world, etc. etc. All these are the glory of the world.

The devil will now deceive the visioner with scriptures ‘God rejoices at the prosperity of His servants; You shall be the head and not the tail, God is able to give you more than you can imagine or think of’ and other scriptures like that to charge your desire then they will program you to make money with any opportunity that comes not minding whether it is godly or not. This is how we bow to the devil. We are lured to compromise our faith. We glorify abundance of the glory of the world that Satan gives whoever bows to worship him.

Are you willing to deny yourself of some pleasure rather than bow down to the devil? All corruption in whatever form is bowing to the devil. An envious and lustful eye is bowing to the devil. Brandishing your wealth to tempt others is bowing to the devil. Search your heart and say to your wild desires that you shall worship the Lord your God always.

Heavenly Father, please satisfy me with food that is enough for me and make me content. Do not deny me things that are needed for my survival so I do not sin in the name of Jesus.
